Evelyn Millwood Banks

Mrs. Evelyn Millwood Banks, 78, of Fort Mill, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at her home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Glen Rock Baptist Church, with Pastor Gene Flack officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery. Born in Chester, Mrs. Banks was a daughter of the late Larry Edward McDonald and Geneva Waters McDonald and they moved to Fort Mill during her childhood. She was a 1954 graduate of Fort Mill High School. Mrs. Banks was formerly employed with Lance, Inc. for a number a years and later became the bookkeeping manager for Morrison’s Cafeteria at P.T.L. She was a member of Glen Rock Baptist Church. She enjoyed making ceramics, collecting angels and planting flowers. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, William B. “Bill” Banks; her son, Larry M. “Mac” Banks and his wife, Rebecca of Fort Mill; and her sister, Martha Dover of Fort Mill; and her sister-in-law, Dot McDonald of Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Raftary; and her brother, James McDonald.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Wolfe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
