Mr. Donald Lee Hood, 68, of York, died Monday, March 30, 2015, at his home.The funeral ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Fort Mill, with Pastor Ron Roddey officiating.Born in Charlotte, Mr. Hood was a son of the late Eugene Dykes Hood and Nellie Irene Boatwright Hood. He was a drywall installer and was a devout member of Baptist faith. He loved his family, Gospel music and enjoyed cooking and feeding people.Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Jeanette Ruppe Hood; his children, Janice Renee Owens (husband, Mike) of Matthews, N.C., Donald Dwayne Hood (wife, Terri) of Indian Trail, N.C., Angela Annette Hood (fiancé, Mike) of Shelby, N.C., Dale Eugene Hood (partner, Raymond) of Washington, D.C.; his brother, Stevie Hood of Fort Mill; four sisters, Dorothy Hillman of Port Charlotte, Fla., Linda Clyatt of Punta Gorda, Fla., Missy Long of Fort Mill and Angela Howington of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren, Michael, Joshua (Kimberly), Chris (Diana), Daniel, Russell, Rickey and Jyssica; and six great-grandchildren, Faith, Preston, Sebastian, Kathryn, Jackson and Madison. He was preceded in death by infant daughters, Lisa Diane Hood and Donna Jeanette Hood; and his brothers, David “Butch”, Jerry, Dennis and Jim Hood, and Bobby and Eddie Hubert.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
