Dear Blythe: I have loved you and we have been best friends the past 15yrs. We stuck through many things together. I love this picture. You were so beautiful. I was able to spend your last months closer with you between Piedmont and Magnolia Manor. You knew how much you meant to me, and we talked about the days we were just carefree. Toward the end it was harder and harder as I held your hand through the pain, and helped the staff with you. I'm glad we had that one real good talk, because although I hurt...I know you are resting finally. They called me to get there as fast as I could the day you left, but I was a few minutes too late. They said you tried hanging on, but I am glad you let go. You were the best I could have ever asked for in a friend. The last of the worst killed me, but it was those days when you were calm and we laughed like old times. And we laughed how I always had to tell kitchen staff, she doesn't like veggies, no salad, plain burger with only condiments, loves Sprite, ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, and lets not forget peanut butter cups. You always said "Dern, I'd be in worse shape if you weren't here with me, keeping everybody in check." You would have done the same for me. I miss you and I find myself thinking I am still going to visit you after my morning walk. I love you, Blythe. You were awesome.
