Mrs. Betty Howe Finley, 77, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at her home.The memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Fort Mill Church of the Nazerene with Pastor Josh Fite officiating. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., the service will follow at 11 a.m.Born in Blacksburg, S.C., Betty was a daughter of the late George and Velma Black Howe. She moved to Fort Mill at a very young age and graduated with the Class of ‘59 from Fort Mill High School. Mrs. Finley was previously employed by Springs Industries and later retired from Sonoco (formerly Package Products) in Charlotte. Betty attended Fort Mill Church of the Nazarene and was a charter member of Westerly Hills Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading.Surviving are her husband, Jerome Frank Finley; her son, William “Bill” Finley, of Rock Hill; her brother, Howard Howe of York; her sister, Mary Lyons of Fort Mill; her grandchildren Josh Finley (Vickey); Jonathan Finley and Patrick Finley all of Rock Hill; many nieces and nephews including: Shayne and Amy Coley, Angie Osborne and Jimmy Davis; and her great-grandson Mason. Mrs. Finley was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Finley in 2013.Memorials may be made to Fort Mill Church of the Nazarene, 109 Harris Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
