Atmer Erne Faile

Mr. Atmer Erne Faile, age 86 of Ocala, Florida and formerly of Fort Mill, died Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida.Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 4 p.m.Born in York, S.C., Mr. Faile was a son of the late Jospeh S. Faile, Sr. and Rebecca Jane Parker Faile. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Faile was retired from J.P. Stevens. He was a member of South Ocala Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. Mr. Faile and his wife raised many foster children. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.Surviving are his son, Kevin Faile of Inman, S.C.; his daughters, Mary Cauthen of Guthrie, Ok., Karon Hagenhoff of Ocala, Fla. and Sandra Hutchinson of Oklahoma City, Ok. ; two sisters Dorcas Chapman and Rebecca Jean Cardillo, both of Fort Mill; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia “Judy” Merritt Faile; two sons Brian and Henry Faile; four brothers, J.S. Faile, Jr., John Faile, Edgar Gwynne Faile and Stephen Faile; and four sisters, Julia Faile Sherer, Betty Faile Lambert, Fay Faile and Eunice Faile.Memorials may be made to South Ocala Baptist Church, 2907 SE 52nd Street, Ocala, FL 34480.
