Agnes lived a long and blessed life. She was able to do so much and delighted in doing so. With two friends she came from Hilo, Hawaii, her birthplace, to travel around the United States when she was 24.She was born January 8, 1930, and went to heaven August 28, 2017. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary and father, Manuel Freitas, 15 brothers and sisters and her husband, Jack Hunter, Sr.She is survived by her stepdaughters, Carrell (Bob) Richards and Pam (Dave) Harrington; stepsons, Jack (Ame) Hunter and Dan (Pat) Hunter; and step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Shirley Freitas and Hannah Freitas in Hawaii; nieces and nephews, Leah (Stan) Gomes; Barbara Cypriano, Raymond Gouveia and Ron Root of Hawaii; Gwen Simas and Alan Costa of California. There are a multitude of other loved relatives. Her special friends are Nancy Valenti, Alina Howington, Liz Pebbles, Ginny Masters, Florence Turner, Lillian Seaman and the other sorority members.Agnes worked for U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for 46 years. She retired in 2003 to continue her travels. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 60 years. St. Philip Neri Catholic Church is where she found peace. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the building fund of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.The memorial service will be at a later date.
